The EARL-D3 is Spacefleet's initial concept design configuration for an SSTO boost-glide vehicle. Small scale models of this configuration has been flight tested, and by scaling up the vehicle by a factor of 3, sub-orbital EARLs would be able to replace current sounding rocket technology in a cost effective way. Or so the company claims.
Modified configurations would later succeed this configuration, like the EARL-D4 with an extended nose and the tourism focused SF-01. Larger orbit-rated EARLs would be designed such as the EARL-D6, which would consist of a trimese spaceplane arrangement, with two EARL-D3 configurations sandwhiching an EARL-D4.
This recreation is an SSTO designed for use in a 1:5 scale solar system. It is uncrewed and lacks a cargo bay.
