Zhuque-2 carrier rocket is a medium liquid launch vehicle system developed by Beijing Blue Arrow Space Science and Technology Co., LTD.
The Zhuque 2 launch vehicle is equipped with a liquid oxygen methane cryogenic engine with independent intellectual property rights. The rocket has a two-stage configuration, a diameter of 3.35 meters, a height of 49.5 meters, a takeoff weight of 219 tons, and a takeoff thrust of 268 tons. Four Tianque 80-ton liquid oxygen-methane engines are connected in the first stage of the rocket, and one Tianque 80-ton liquid oxygen-methane engine and one Tianque 10-ton floating liquid oxygen-methane engine are combined in the second stage.
On July 12, 2023, the Zhuque II remote two liquid oxygen methane carrier rocket was successfully launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China. The rocket entered the scheduled orbit and the test mission was successful. The mission was the second flight of the Suzaku II launch vehicle. It is also the first liquid oxygen methane rocket in the world to successfully send a payload to a predetermined orbit!
