Stock horizontal takeoff two stage to orbit space plane configured for use in RSS.
This is the NASA/Langley Spacejet. It is an attempt to solve the problem that plagues all single stage to orbit (SSTO) or two stage to orbit vehicles (TSTO). Weight. Many configurations involve the use of both jet engines and rocket engines. Problem is, jet engines are very heavy. This design get gets around that by dropping the dead weight after used. Except, the jet engines are an another aircraft in itself, that can return to the runway from which it took off from. Offering significant reusability
Based off of proposed configurations from this study: https://web.archive.org/web/20100520133008/http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/19900066456_1990066456.pdf
I am considering this a working progress for now. Still some stability issues to work out. Probably going to add a rocket sled for takeoff assist. Until then use the rockets to assist in takeoff
