JUNO - 2 Interplanetary Ship ION

The Juno - 2, crew of 8; Has a full interior - command deck, living quarters/lavatory, lounge/mess, medbay, labs, avionics, reactor room. Ship includes recoverable droo launch vehicle, career mode friendly (must unlock DSC large pad due to ship size).

JUNO - 2 upgrades over the JUNO - 1: the chemical rockets have been upgraded to a powerful ion drive. Drive has 12 years of continuous thrust (high TWR). Ship capable of visiting every body (including all the moons) in the JUNO system before requiring refueling. 4 planetary drop probes have been added in two bays in the aft section of the ship. Drop probes capable of entering Tydos until they reach gravitational crush depth. Open probe bay doors with action group. Probes are docked to a small docking collar; Release probe by releasing the dock and switch control to the probe to use it. Ship has a nuclear reactor which will supply huge amounts of electrical power. Lastly, action groups have been cleaned up.

Roll/pitch/yaw as normal
Throttle - ion drive thrust
Slider 1 rotates forward solar array on ship long axis
Slider 2 rotates aft solar array on ship long axis
Slider 3 rotates comms array
Slider 4 rotates gravity wheel (activate power with grav wheel action group)
Break slider is camera zoom

1 - ion drive
2 - probe bay doors
3 - interior doors
4 - quarentine door
5 - exterior lights
6 - interior lights
7 - docking guide lights
8 - gravity ring power
9 - solar panels

Launch from large DSC pad to low droo orbit (up to 200km). Separate launch vehicle from the juno-2. Deorbit launch vehicle in water near the DSC; use remaining fuel to slow down reentry to less than 2000m/s or parachutes may fail. You can then recover the expensive booster.

To get crew into the grav ring from the forward ship section, space walk down the center of the ship. When at the grav wheel hub enter one of the habitats that make up the wheels spokes. From there you can access any of the grav wheel pods.
