The LM-7A launch vehicle is a new generation of medium-sized high-orbit three-stage liquid-strapped launch vehicle developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology based on the Long March 7. The Long March-7A retains the booster, first and second stages of the Long March-7, but its third stage inherits the three sub-stages of the Long March-3A series rockets, thus achieving a 7-ton geosynchronous transfer orbit carrying capacity, filling the gap in the carrying capacity of China's geosynchronous transfer orbit between 5.5t~7t.
