Hello all,
Today I bring the second in the Saturn rocket family, the Saturn IB. This was an upgraded Saturn I improved so It could fly the lunar lander and the CSM for the Saturn V into LEO for testing. It uses the same stage for a second stage that would become third stage of the Saturn V. It’s first stage was an updated version of the Saturn I stage. There is a common myth that the first stage is make of Redstone tanks strapped together, this is not quite true. The first stage center is the same diameter as a Juno tank but with different internal tank structure and the tanks around it are the same diameter as Redstone tanks but are again modified and have different tank structure. This was done because the new tanks could be made at the same factories that made Juno and Redstone rockets with little change to tooling.
Activation groups:

2: post abort (escape tower separation and drogue chute deployment)
3: parachutes (main chutes)
4:antenna(on the service module, deployed with slider 1 down)

I do have skylab and I will launch it again sometime in my new game in simplerockets 2 and the rocket is useful for the dockings.
