Not to be mistaken as the delta X-15, the North American MHTV-3 (Manned Hypersonic Test Vehicle) was a orbital scramjet test vehicle that offsprung from X-15 configurations such as the delta X-15 (X-15D). Using scramjets and rocket engine with drop tanks, the vehicle would accelerate up to orbital speeds. It would also incorperate variable angle wing tips to capture more lift at higher speeds from momentum priciple and spanwise flow.
This recreation is a spaceplane capable of orbit on 1:5 solar systems. It features variable angle wingtips controlled by slider 1 (down for ascent, mid for landing, up for reentry)
