The Orca Assault Craft, inspired by the vehicle of the same name in the Command and Conquer games, is a VTOL dual Turbofan powered aircraft designed to rain heavy Armament upon Nod’s ground forces. Weapons and other accessories sold seperately.

Important notes:
Unlike most VTOLs, this craft hardly functions like a plane after gaining horizontal velocity. It’s more closely related to a helicopter, since its wings provide little to no lift. It should also be mentioned that flying without rcs is unadvisable, if not impossible. Due to the lack of suitable wing area, vital control surfaces such as roll are not viable. Instead, this is provided by engine hinge rotation. Pitch, while aided by the rear wing control surfaces, is very weak and must be applied with rcs during takeoff and landing. Vertical engine rotation range is -45 to +45 degrees.

Flight notes:
Liftoff occurs at aproximately 50% thrust. Reccomended cruising speed is 60-70%thrust. Thrust of 75% or higher tends to produce significant pitch oscillation if used for too long, resulting in a stall followed by an uncontrollable dive. It is advisable that the pilot use higher engine power sparingly to avoid this. The craft is controlled by a computer chip, but also has the capability of supporting a human pilot. Usage of the autopilot or heading control is unadvised, as the AI is incapable of understanding the unconventional roll mechanics

TLDR;
This craft is a recreation of a 1990’s video game futuristic strike aircraft. It is hardly aerodynamic, but still flyable. Much of the functionality of the craft was sacrificed in order to stay true to the original design. This is my first craft.
