When carrying drone at take off or during flight raise nose to 30° angle to gain attitude. (everything minus -20°. example: 20° angle on blue ring and craft flies at 0°) The stages for the mother drone are: 1,2,3,6,8. The Rover uses the rest and aren't recommended while the rover is attached to the drone. You can however drop the drone in mid flight and activate the parachutes.
