IDK if anyone has done anything like this before, but this is my go at it anyway!
if you go to the physics settings you'll find an option for the body lift force.
(test with on/off and see the deference for yourself)
and this craft tests how good are the physics of FUSELAGE ONLY forces.
so I used the fuel tank part as a wing by stretching and squashing to create it the way you see.
even the control surfaces are tank parts!
Launch in the air. it doesn't feature any landing Gear.
in Conclusion
•it works... somewhat ??!!
•it works in controlling the aircraft's nose direction, but not the the aircraft's movement vector.
•and it has an effect even at speeds of 10m/s
•it's very difficult to control in flight.
•So yeah it does work, and if you turn the body lift force option off, it becomes drag control only, and much less control.
•but will I ever use it to make a fully functional plane??
No, the answer to that is no... never, ever, ever. It's completely impractical and absolutely not worth it.
It works!
