The Long March 2D (CZ-2D or LM-2D) is a two-stage conventional liquid propellant carrier rocket developed by the Shanghai Aerospace Science and Technology Research Institute. It is a rocket formed by reducing the conventional liquid three-stage on the basis of the Long March 4A (CZ-4A) and adaptively improving it. It is mainly used for launching small and medium-sized payloads in low Earth orbit (LEO) and sun synchronous orbit (SSO).
