Salute No. 1, No. dos-1, was the first space station of the former Soviet Union and the first space station in history. It was launched on April 19, 1971. As part of the gun salute plan, the Soviet Union once wanted to send astronauts into the salute No. 1 by the alliance 10. However, due to the docking problem, the Soyuz 10 failed. Later, the Soviet Union sent its second spaceship alliance 11 to dock with the space station, and the astronauts stayed in the station for 23 days. Unfortunately, when soyuz-11 returned to earth, the equalizing valve of the re-entry module was opened too early, resulting in the death of three astronauts. Later, salute No. 1 was burned in the atmosphere on October 11, 1971.
