i got the idea for this while assembling some lego set, thought i'd replicate the basic primciple of said idea to see it function, and well...
yeah it sucks
as a concept it'd function fine, on a flat surface the inner wheels would be compressed and the outer ones would be extended, but when going over rocks or on a weird incline it'd be the other way round
obviously though, it works much worse than expected, and because the wheels are diagonal the grip is much worse than normal wheels or tank treads
alongside that, if it were real it'd obviously be more expensive than a conventional setup, and it is also rather impractical and very unreliable (no really, it CONSTANTLY breaks in-game) due to having more moving parts
so yeah, it only exists for the rule of cool, but oh well
