The F-16XL is a verification test aircraft based on the production modification of the F-16 fighter jet. It is a derivative of the F-16 fighter jet and has been modified with two aircraft. This aircraft continues the characteristics of the F-16 fighter jet and has made significant changes on this basis, using double delta wings, making its multiple performance far superior to the former. The test proved that this transformation was successful, and later participated in the bidding for a dual mission fighter jet, but lost due to losing to competitors. The F-16XL, which ended its test flight in 1985, was mothballed. This project was later replaced by the F-15E.
