CZ-3ARocket and FengYun-2 Meteorological Satellite

The long march 3A carrier rocket (cz-3a) is a large three-stage liquid propellant rocket, which is also the basic type of China's synchronous orbit launch vehicle. It is mainly used to launch geosynchronous transfer orbit payloads, and can also perform low orbit, solar synchronous orbit and polar orbit missions. The long march 3A rocket inherits the mature technology of long March-3 and adopts the improved third stage of liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. Its synchronous transfer orbit carrying capacity reaches 2650 kg. Due to the more flexible and advanced control system, the l3a launch vehicle can adjust the attitude and orientation of the payload before the separation of the satellite and the rocket, and provide the adjustable satellite rotation rate, so it has a strong adaptability. The long march 3A launch vehicle has been successfully launched in 25 times since November 1994.

The chang-3a series rockets undertake all the high orbit launch missions of China's aerospace industry in the present period. The technical performance, launch frequency, annual launch volume and launch success rate up to 98% are all in the world's leading level. The series of rockets are closely related to China's major Aerospace events, such as the Chang'e project, the space ferry vehicle, Beidou satellite and Fengyun satellite
