It was a spacecraft that encountered 2 comets and made 2 flybys of Earth. It was launched on an Ariane 1.
Tips on how to use it:
Make sure Handrew's Comet (Target it) and Droo are aligned and it was daytime. Before Launch, name it "Giotto Spacecraft". Turn on the gyro before launch. Make sure on stage and skirt separations, you boost it forward using RCS. You don't need to burn off lots of fuel on the second stage. Make sure you burn on the twilight zone (If they are both aligned) but don't take the trajectory to deep space but on a highly elliptical orbit. Before turning on the engine, you should open both AG1 and AG2. Make sure you don't time warp so fast or else it would leave it too fast. Make sure the closest approach of your craft to Handrew's Comet is 510-598 km. You can go to the cameras on it's closest approach. Shortly after, simulate the Giotto Spacecraft getting off-prograde by moving the left Analog Stick left or right and you should be in Orbit-Planet Aligned view. You should make 2 flybys of Droo. If you have another comet, flyby there.
Flyby 1 Closest approach: 22,100-22,990 km
Flyby 2 closest approach: it depends
Things you should know: This is the first Ariane 1 in SimpleRockets 2. The Ariane 1 is my first fully-operational rocket I built. They can be both saved or only the Ariane 1 can be saved. Just remove that 14 label and also put a command chip and set it to primary and remove the spacecraft to save the rocket only. It was planned for a Space Shuttle to observe it but the Challenger Disaster came and even worse, They didn't launch Space Shuttles again until 1988 so the Vega Spacecrafts observed it this time. The engine cover consist of 2 rotating nose cones, 2 fuel tanks attached to a hinge rotator.
