The "jingguo" fighter jet is a light supersonic jet fighter designed and developed in Taiwan,China in the 1980s with the technical assistance of the United States. The PLA has begun to equip a large number of j-7 and j-8 fighters and ground-to-ground attack aircraft, striving to gain an advantage in quality. In the planning of the Taiwan air force, f-ck-1 and mirage 2000-5 purchased from France and f-16a /B purchased from the United States constitute the main force of air superiority operations in the Taiwan strait, among which f-ck-1 is responsible for medium-low altitude defense.
The fighter model "f-ck-1", in which "CK" stands for the abbreviation of "ching-kuo" in the word "JingGuo", is named "JingGuo fighter" in memory of jiang jingguo.
At the beginning of its service, the aircraft was ahead of the early J-6, J-7 and J-8 fighters of the mainland air force, but its performance has fallen behind with the new generation of PLA air force fighter jets. After entering the 21st century, Taiwan began to seek to improve the IDF, focusing on improving its avionics system and ground attack capability. The improved aircraft is called the f-ck-1C/D eagle.
