Hongqi-2 surface to air missile

The red flag-2 surface to air missile was developed by China in imitation of the Soviet sam-2 missile. Its shape is similar to sam-2 surface to air missile, but 21 technical improvements have been made in performance. The missile is composed of two-stage rocket. The first stage rocket is composed of solid fuel propeller, connecting cabin and stable tail wing, which is used for takeoff acceleration; the second stage rocket is composed of warhead, radio fuse, liquid rocket motor, missile control system and missile body, which is used for endurance flight and destroying enemy targets. On September 8, 1967, the air force of the people's Liberation Army (PLA) shot down the US made U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft over Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province with the domestic "red flag" 2 surface to air missile for the first time. It is now in the Military Museum of the Chinese people's revolution.
