Off hiatus. (For now, at least.)
The SF-01B is a faster interceptor variant of the original Ductback fighter.
How fast? Factory-benchmarked to assure that bombers cry for mommy when they see this thing.
SDB had a dilemma where they felt pretty lazy on designing new stuff from scratch.
So what did they do? They went 200% on their single-massive-engine instincts and gave an SF-01 a BIG OLE' STINGER in the back.
And there's your interceptor boys.
Will touch Mach 3 even with it's tanks and missiles on, atleast if I'm remembering right. ~3.2 level if you dump those gimmicks like a man. ~3.45 in a dive if you are feeling like Chuck Yeager. Want an astronaut medal? No problem, just vomit comet your way to a 65k suborbital.
