In a day in the Drood year 1962.

The United Socialism Technocrats of Solaria and the Boriagrad Federation’s corporation “Space B” were having severe competition on all areas including space exploration. In 1950s, Space B launched the first Drood Satellite “Pal 1” causing the whats called the “Pal Moment”. Later, Space B got the leading position in Lunar exploration and manned orbital flight. Although the USTS kept up with the progress, the people were still very upset for loosing all those firsts. People began to doubt whether socialism technocracy was still the best political system. It had come to a moment that the space agency of USTS must come up with a plan that can get a significant victory. And the important day came to the general secretary of the space agency, von Everest, as a young engineer of a nuclear submarine knocked on his door after the war of Koryo.

The young engineer was named Caroline Sophia, who was considered a typical USTS soldier. She came from a remote village and was sent for further studying to the university of Nova Krakov for her brilliant performance in the local people’s commune. She learned a lot about rocket engineering and almost joined the United Space Club, which was the former organization of the space agency if she didn’t join the Solaria Red Navy. She went to the SRN during the second Globe War, and got promoted to the position of chief engineer. But she didn’t forget her dream for space exploration and kept trying for joining the USTS Space Agency. Sophia saw the chance during the Koryo War, when the Agency thought about Oord exploration.

Sophia’s thought was radical yet accessible, it was a probe launching system very similar to the missile launching system on the submarine. The main probe could be put into the orbit of Oord, while launching probe to interest spots all over Oord. Everest was fairly impressed by a submarine engineer’s idea and would like to give the idea a try. After all, USTS is a nation with favor in the spirit of innovation.

The probe has more ability than just exploring Oord, it has about 17 km/s delta V. So I assume it can also explore Nebra and Taurus or so. As you can see in the 2nd pic, it still has its upper stage unparted in the orbit of Oord.
