2 stages to orbit, interplanetary transfer stage, lander & rover. Rover cover auto-ejects at <10k AGL if parachutes are armed, otherwise you can stage it manually. Lander can safely return all 5 astronauts to Droo. Crew capsule has a planetary transfer window calculator built in (AG#4).

Rover is fairly tip-proof up to 10 m/s or so (50% power). If you go faster and flip it, try using the piston to right it.
