It is a multi-stage liquid fuel rocket used by NASA in Apollo and Skylab programs. The Saturn 5 super heavy launch vehicle is the second largest thrust launch vehicle after the Soviet energy launch vehicle. Between 1967 and 1973, 13 Saturn 5 launch vehicles were launched, which maintain a perfect launch record. A total of nine Saturn-5 launch vehicles put the manned Apollo spacecraft into lunar orbit. The Saturn 5 launch vehicle line was closed in 1970. Saturn 5's last launch, in 1973, put Skylab into low earth orbit. Successor space launch system (SLS system), known as the strongest launch vehicle system in history.
