Upon the discovery of how expensive a single launch can be without recovery of the main rocket pieces, an effort was made to alleviate this problem. XR-4 was the product of a simple inspiration of the successful SpaceX rockets, using the first stages to be recovered without a hitch, while still providing medium earth orbit delivery possible.

The rocket’s first stage can be recovered using a “Suicide Burn” procedure also perfected by said company. Although nearly 4% of fuel remaining is still viable for such a procedure without any slowdown via drag, safety is ensured by using four (4) parachutes not only for the first stage but also the second stage.

Tractor Module Mk.1 (TM1) was created for a universal type of dockable control system for initial and sustained stability of any orbiting body for the SFA Stations and Satellites. Providing an easy and reliable way to precisely orient any space craft with or without self-propelling systems. Integrated to the second Space Station (Space Station Bravo), It proved reliable in its first operations, with the successful capture and docking of the Standard Six Side Mating Port when it was released into orbit, just to find out that there were no controls on the unit.
