A stopgap tank designed during the War of 763. It consists of a MK-VI Natrium Cannon slapped onto a restored chassis dating way back to the Age of Conflict. Despite the fact that this machine was not designed for long term service, it’s been doing just that for about two centuries with the Anderen Armed Forces.

@Ghosthpuse sure! Just note that you’ll need to take the mantlet with the gun. The sight is also grouped in, so just disconnect that if you don’t need it.

@Ghosthpuse the laser is just an engine with a heavily modified exhaust and a point light. The beam is a coloured, scaled exhaust (3500x, last I checked) which does 125 points of damage. This ensures it wipes normal crafts, but doesn’t obliterate crafts tinkered to handle it. Think a sci-fi tank vs a roll of paper; one fares better. The thrust was carefully scaled so that it kicks the barrel back, but not the tank. If you check the performance analyser, you’ll find that it’s around 75kN of thrust.
For looks, I decided to have a second beam which does no damage and is significantly shorter, providing a bright base for the beam.
The point light comes from a Light modifier added through the inbuilt Overload. You also need two InputController modifiers, one for LightRange and one for LightIntensity. Now, you should have full control of the light. My recommendation is to use a flight programme to control these two parameters. Try using root functions or exponents in your inputs to make the flash look a bit more natural.
I’d recommend poking around in the laser and mantlet flight programmes for further clarity. -

@Ghosthpuse I set the thrust to much lower than it actually is. If I set the thrust scale to 100, not only would the tank do an epic backflip, but the gun would recoil so hard that the tank would decapitate itself only to immediately shoot the back of its own turret.
I decided to go for a lesser kick because this thing is also meant for use on low gravity bodies such as Luna.
@Ghosthpuse so, it turns out that I can’t anymore :(
