Overview

This is the Bravo 10 v4, it has new engines, all-new paint and more. The engines are now using an Alpha nozzle design instead of a Bell nozzle; this has lead to the TWR (Thurst to Weight Ratio) to increase, this is a huge benefit, because the engine can carry more while still being a smaller size. The faring also got a revamp. It is about 5 meter wide and over 30 meters in height. The second stage engine also got upgraded to have better performance yet keeping a lot of power. Well, that's for the overview now learn how to fly and land it.

Flight Plan

Preparing for Liftoff

Now as with all rocket launches, there has to be some preparation made. so the only thing that you will need to do is open Slider 2 and then tap AG 5 on the Activation Groups Tab. Then start your count, Liftoff.

Going to orbit

With the rocket getting higher and faster upwards, you also need to go really fast sideways that is how you get to orbit. Down below is the gravity turns at what height and what pitch you change them to:

  1. 1.5 km = 75
  2. 5 km = 65
  3. 10 km = 55
  4. 15 km = 45
  5. 20 km = 35
  6. 25 km = 25

Then continue until fuel percentage is 21% and then cut the engine and then separate the stages.

Second Stage

After MECO (Main Engine Cutoff) Just press the Prograde arrow and then just keep burning until your Apoapsis is about 225 km to 250 km in height. After that switch back to the first stage to land it.

Landing Successful

Preparing for landing

Now is it time for the first stage or booster to land. All you will need to do is press the Retrograde button, turn off RCS and then turn it back on again (also switch off the Landing Gear, but don't turn it on). Lastly just turn off all the engines, by turning them on again and then turn them off.

Re-entry Burn

At 60 km turn on the Center Engine (AG 4) and the two outer engines (AG3). Keep burning until you reach 10% in fuel. Next just let it fall to the ground.

Hover-Slam

Now at 10 km turn on the same three engines (AG 4 and AG 3), once you have slowed down enough and think that the single engine can make a soft touch down turn off the two outer engines (AG 3), but do not ever forget to unfold the Land Gear.

Second Stage

Delivering the Payload

Now that everything has taken care of, it's now time to deliver the payload to orbit. Start by pitching the second stage to 5* and then let the second stage burn until you have created an orbit for the payload.

Activation Groups and Sliders:

  • AG 1 - Satellite Gear
  • AG 2 - 6 Outer Engine Burn
  • AG 3 - 2 Outer Engine Burn
  • AG 4 - Centre Engine Burn
  • AG 5 - All Fin Control
  • AG 7 - Lights and Strobe Lights
  • AG 8 - Landing Gear
  • AG 10 - RCS

  • Throttle Slider - Rocket Throttle

  • Slider 1 - Fin Control

@RocketScienceIncorporated I know of some people who can. I will look into it and get back to you.

@Tweedle_Aerospace, I tried it before, but when you switch back to the first stage, the activation groups loses their names. Is there any way of fixing this?

@RocketScienceIncorporated is it possible you could name the activation groups?
