“A modified variant of the Balisong, carrying everything it needs for its intended usage of a support vessel for aerial bases in venusian atmosphere.”

Strain 121 is named after the archaea of the same name, with its scientific name being geogemma barossii, currently being the most thermophilic extremophile known, capable of reproduction and growth at 121 degrees celcius.

The craft is named after that archaea, because of its intended usage being within the venusian atmosphere, where temperatures can reach 700 degrees celcius, at roughly 90 times the atmospheric pressure of earth at sea level.

The craft is equipped with solar panels, homever they are not capable of sustaining flight indefinitely, homever in theory the craft is capable of 7.6 hours of contionous flight, homever in practice you can expect it to be around 4 hours.

There is fuel tanks in the middle for methalox to operate the 2 aerospike engines, but they dont work below 20 km, in venus (Pressure goes brrrr), and roughly below the same limit the craft becomes unable to generate lift (Because too much thrust ends up snapping the wings right off, or melting them from the sheer kinetic heating), so try not to fall to the surface.

Since at around 40-50 km’s (63 km in the new RSS map), atmospheric pressure is same as that on earth at sea level, it can easily operate at those altitudes, again, on venus.

The craft is balanced both with full fuel and no fuel, but you can bring in extra fuel with the black tank, which shouldnt be much of a problem.

It also has wheeled gear now, which can drive, incase you get stuck on the surface and want to spend your last few hours on this realm by make believing fast and furious on a hellish planet.

It also has an emergency parachute system, buys you a bit of time incase you plunge into the hellish depths of venus’es atmosphere.

Translate Up - Beat Thrust
Slider 1 - Downstroke Magnitude
Translate Forward - Wing Sweep in Glide-Sweep Mode, Thrust Vectoring in Thrust Director Mode
Slider 2 - Upstroke Magnitude, with AG 16 off it works as a ratio to slider 1, so for example slider 2 at 0 means same upstroke as downstroke, at 1 it means twice as much, at -1 it means half as much etc, with AG 16 on it works independently of slider 1
Slider 4 - Changes the beat phase of rear and forward wings with AG 7, does essentially nothing to change it, but “lore accuracy” for real life dragonflies
