I made a plane with 2 modes: longe range mode (speed <370 mps) and hypersonic mode (>600 mps) . DON'T USE STAGES. Activate group "normal mode engines" to turn on longe range mode (use it for take off, landings and when you want to fly far away with great fuel efficiency). To turn on hypersonic mode activate both "normal mode engines" and "hypersonic booster" groups, use this mode for higher Mach, but bad fuel efficiency. Use "BRAKE" slider to invert thrust.
