The Obliterator is a relic of a dark patch in Astrospec's past. Created in the late 1960's as part of the National Defense Contract, the Obliterator is an intercontinental ballistic missile that was designed to deliver a destructive payload over a large area as fast as possible. Capable of reaching the other side of the globe in less than 2 hours, the Obliterator pulled such high Gs upon takeoff that a shallow gravity turn had to be performed immediately after launch to avoid escaping Earth's gravity entirely, earning it the nickname "sweeper" by the crews who experienced its launches, as the massive turning upon launch resulted in leaves reportedly being swept clean off the roofs of houses near the missile silos. The incredible thrust provided by the first stage allowed for 4 750kg thermonuclear warheads to be loaded onto the top of the craft, giving it unparalleled destructive capabilities.

Operator's notes:

It is advised that you know what you're doing when the keys are turned, as the safety of your launch staff depends on it, so a list of basic procedures may be of use to you.
1: Upon launching, immediately pitch to 70, you want to be about 45 at 5,000m. you'll know why when the engines turn on.
2: The second stage has just enough fuel to get you to the other side of the globe, you want to remain on a suborbital trajectory and not get into orbit, we're not nuking the moon here. It is advised that you keep a little bit of fuel handy when you cut throttle, as the decelleration from re-entry has a habbit of reducing your impact distance from what it was in orbit, occasionally causing undershooting, some throttle will correct that.
3: Once you are happy with the continent you have chosen as your next victim, turn off your engine to prevent weird and goofy gimballing drag to occur upon re-entry, and orient yourself onto the prograde vector, keeping your trajectory locked.
4: When the heat from re-entry has subsidded, release your fairings to expose the warheads, the craft will jiggle a little, but that will help you spread the damage.
5: The next 4 stages release the warheads individually, you might want to consider releasing them while the craft jiggles to spread them around a bit, or allow the craft to straighten out first, the choice is yours. Good luck.
