The Long March 12 carrier rocket is China's first 3.8-meter diameter single core stage liquid carrier rocket developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. It has a two-stage configuration, with four 1250 kN liquid oxygen/kerosene engines in the first stage and two 180 kN liquid oxygen/kerosene engines in the second stage. The carrying capacity of low Earth orbit shall not be less than 10 tons, and the carrying capacity of 700 kilometer sun synchronous orbit shall not be less than 6 tons.
