DC-8-73
(YES, ITS CAREER COMPATIBLE!)
READ FIRST (pls I put in a lot of effort into this project)
This is the result of a weeks worth of constant effort at the sacrifice of my assignments and education. So I tried to make it worth it. This is my first attempt at making a 1:1 replica, and it features an interior cockpit with stall, terrain, altitude, and overspeed warning system. Instruments include an artificial horizon, vertical speed indicator, flaps lever, speed brake lever, altitude indicator, as well as speed indicator and so on.
Slider 1: flaps
Slider 2: Trim
Slider 3: Vertical speed controller (a lower value means the autopilot will ascend/descend more gradually.
Slider 4: camera zoom
AG1: ALT Hold
AG2: HDG Hold
AG3: SPD Hold
AG4: cabin and taillights
AG5: Landing Lights
AG6: Spoilers (flight)
AG7: Arm Spoilers
AG8: Landing Gear
AG9:
AG10: Nav Lights
AG11: Engine1
AG12: Engine2
AG13: Engine3
AG14: Engine4
AG15: Beacon Lights
AG16: APU
Cockpit has lights of its own so you can fly In the dark and still see inside the cockpit. The terrain warning system makes this even easier, aiming to reduce the chance of crashes.
Stall warning will go off at 130m/s. Is capable of carrying more fuel than at the present moment. Can carry ~150 people (I think, cant remember). It has double bogey landing gear for those BUTTERY touchdowns. It cruises at the same speed as its real life counterpart at ~950km/h, it cant go much faster due to drag. Even though the game thinks its only flying at Mach 0.76 or somin. So its not slow, its just as fast as the actual dc-8-73. It can fly at a practical maximum altitude of 15500m or about 50800ft. It can do 16km, but it takes forever to climb. Range and IAS are displayed on the top of the screen for quick access.
Enjoy! SORRY it doesn’t fly like a fighter jet, its not supposed to. Fly it like an airliner. Its not built for IAS speeds above 360kn. If you deploy the airbrakes above that speed or turn to hard wings begin to snap off here and there DON’T FLY TOO FAST MY DUDE. Fly high instead.
HAPPY FLYING EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!

Wow! Great detail… like the thrust reversers being active only when grounded. Such a small but neat detail

@FoxtrotTheSergal i might wait for fueselage clamp to be added so i can create it without pulling my hair out trying to be career compatible. Depends tho. It might just work yknow. I was thinking of creating something a bit more dystopian, probably not an airliner, but we will see. Like a utility aircraft thats fictional, may or may not be supersonic, but it will have loads of features that might actually make it useful in career mode. Im not sure what it is supposed to do tho. It could be cool. I might just create the cv990

tell me how well it runs on your device, i might do a stripped down version in future, without bits in the cockpit to improve playability
Its so good
