Grandpa Larry has had the same truck for the past 58 years, and he’s put about 3.5 million miles on it.
He thinks of this truck as his child (his biological children have been dead for many years) and he has and will do absolutely everything he can in order to keep it running. He has no alternative and wouldn’t settle for any amount of money for his truck.
Everything that can break already has been broken for 20 years. The only things that aren’t broken are the driver’s side door, the drivetrain, and the steering. And that’s only because the steering system is held together by old wire and duct tape. The engine is the unkillable 7.8l 120hp V8 engine used in these trucks, and 120hp is the factory rating. Probably more like 50hp now.
Look at those trousers!
