Career Luna Crew

Crew space craft with enough DV for Luna landing and return, with reusable booster. Total cost ~ $ 55M by recovering booster and capsule.

The craft could be used to complete all Droo orbit rescue, Luna Orbit rescue and Luna Surface rescue missions.

Start from DSC pad.

For high inclination, wait till rocket below ascending node of target orbit, AG5 on and enter inclination to launch.

For Luna transfer or inclination < 10 degrees, AG 5 ON, enter 0 then enter y to confirm so no need to wait for launch window.

Booster automatically takes upper stage to 130km ~130 km low orbit.

AG 7 to select booster, quick save, AG 6 to auto and the booster on DSC. (quick load if landing failed due to physics engine error)

Wait for autopilot turn OFF, AG 1 ON then AG 3 to switch back to capsule.

For docking, lock on target, burn at blue ascending / descending node till inclination and right ascension match target, then enter prograde DV and drag burn node along orbit till minimum target distance below 1 km. (quick save before time warp towards target)

AG 8 OFF to shut down RCS after planned burn and enable time warp, get close to target, select target speed and lock retrograde when approaching target.

When target within 10km, quick save, then AG4 & AG8 ON, control RCS according to info display to get near target.

The capsule has no docking port so astronaut need EVA and use tether to grab target craft for transfer.

When transfer complete, quick save, use burn node to bring capsule 200km ~ 800 km above DSC in vertical fall,
AG6 ON for auto landing.

For Luna landing, use burn node to enter bring capsule 200km ~ 300 km above target zone in vertical fall, AG6 ON for auto landing.

When landed, quick save, then AG1, AG8 and AG9 to use RCS translate mode as the craft hovering. Use AG3 to cancel lateral speed when needed.
