Conquer the great beyond with NDSA's ASTROLAUNCHER, a carrier aircraft hosting the XB-47 Spyplane/Commercial Sub-Orbital Spaceplane

Want to spy on your local ennemies ? Maybe send your favourite billionaires to space ? NDSA has you covered;

The Astrolauncher carrier aircraft with the XB-47 under its belly is capable of sub-orbital flight with two lucky passengers. Both crafts are landable but the Astrolauncher alone suffers from some intense instability that will be fixed in future revised versions.

To control the crafts, start by activating stage 1 (Astrolauncher's jet engines), you can then orient the craft while climbing to 12 000 feet (I recommend locking the craft's direction once you are aligned). You then need to pitch up to your desired semi-ballistic trajectory until you hit 20 000 feet, at this point, it is now time to take a deep breath and release the craft by staging one last time, keep an eye on the Apoapsis and once you get to the desired height, cut the engines to keep some fuel to brake at landing. At this point, you can cruize back down and relax, the hardest part of the flight is done. To land back, you will need to activate and then deactivate the XB-47 Engines with AG 5, you can then activate the brake engines with AG 4 and open the landing gear with AG 8, only throttle up when on land except if you judge that you are still going too fast to land. You can then throttle down until you are completely immobile.
