Dash 70: Supersonic with style

Introducing the Dash 70, the supersonic jet that brought speed and efficiency to the modern era. Building on the legacy of the Dash 80, this versatile aircraft was designed to meet the evolving needs of airlines and passengers alike.

Development:
After the Dash 80, Strella sought to create a more efficient and commercially viable supersonic aircraft. Development of the Dash 70 began in 1987, with a focus on incorporating advanced materials and quieter engines. Engineers also prioritized reducing fuel consumption and improving passenger capacity to attract a broader market.
The Dash 70 prototype completed its first flight in 1991, demonstrating a perfect blend of performance and economy. Drawing design cues from a proposal of a swing wing bomber Strella developed for the army, it retained the iconic swing-wing mechanism while improving upon its predecessor’s shortcomings. The Dash 70 entered service in 1996.

- First Flight: 1991

- Introduction: 1996

Features and Advancements:
The Dash 70’s reduced fuel consumption, quieter engines, and advanced avionics set a new standard in supersonic aviation. Capable of cruising at Mach 1.8 and covering up to 5,000 nautical miles, it offered flexibility for both regional and long-haul routes. Continuous upgrades, including improved cockpit systems and engine enhancements, have ensured its longevity in a competitive market.

Amazing craft! You never let us down with these builds! Also, if you ever need a bit of Vizzy programming for automatic landing gear or wing sweep or something just let me know.

And one more thing, you could also expand the remastered Minotaur 6 into a family much like you did with the Draco 13 jet from earlier. ;)

Oh, and if you also have a remaster planned on the list for your double decker, the Minotaur-6, I'll absolutely be all for that. ;)
