The X-035-E-RTP is a short-range regional turboprop airliner that uses hydrogen fuel cell electric propellers.
Due to the low density of liquid hydrogen, and its inability to be stored in wings (due to the cryogenic temperatures and the need to store it in high-pressure tanks), the aircraft can only hold 2.75 tonnes of fuel and has a limited range between 400 and 460km.
The E-RTP was built on the fuselage of the regular X-035-RTP with modifications and stretches to existing fuel tanks and adding some extra tanks.
The top speed is between 140 and 160m/s depending on the flight path and the maximum altitude is ~10km.
Due to the fuel cells having a constant consumption rate, the aircraft speed is the main factor in determining the range: if it flys at 140m/s the range will be 400km, if it flys at 160m/s the range will be 460km (excluding additional range from gliding and using the stored battery power)
