Designed by Aevance Aerospace, with significant funding from the Erandian government and Julietta Priutt's Irnash International Corporation, The Artemis NV5 is the Crown jewel of the Artemis line of spacecraft, and the pride of the ERSA.

Capable of holding up to 7 Astronauts and some cargo, the NV5 is launched off the back of a Dracilian Jundroo Dynamics E747. The E747 has been modified to launch NV5s, and has been stripped down and repainted.

NV5s are capable of launching from a ground runway, but this is not recommended due to it's NERVA engines.

The craft has completed 8 Successful missions on total, 3 of them being deploying the LORA (Lunar Orbit Relay Array) to Lunar orbit.

The craft is very reusable.

There are 3 NV5s in existence, with 2 more being built.

NV-5-5 Albiorix

NV5s are capable of reaching Lunar orbit, and the NV-5-5 is said to be a variant of the NV5 capable of landing on the lunar surface.

Controls

Standard aircraft controls

Stage 1 activates Jet engines on B747
Stage 2 activates Rockets on the NV5
Stage 3 launches Detacher seperating the 2 craft.
Stage 5 is Landing parachutes.

Instructions:

Launch

Climb to 8000M above sea level with 747, activate stage 2, Wait 2-3 Seconds, Activate stage 3 and pull up violently. Pull up to 70 degrees of pitch, and continue toaintain 70 degrees until highest point of trajectory is above Karman line. Then, Set heading to Prograde and continue at 100% thrust until full orbit is Achieved. Deactivate wings.

Reentry and landing procedures

Disable Nuclear engine, then burn Retrograde. Deactivate Lights and Retract solar panels. Activate airbrakes until under 20Km. Do not fire engines during Reentry until Altitude is under 20Km. Do not activate wings until altitude is under 25km.

Normal landing.

I am relatively new to the SR2 community and the game, but hello everyone! This is my first Spaceplane, and it's quite successful! I used a lot of my SP building techniques here, and I am not quite sure if they helped. SR2 is a lot more Advanced than SP, and it took a lot of wrangling and 3 days just to troubleshoot the planes many many problems.
