DHRUVA 1 (Dynamic High-Resolution Unmanned Vehicle I), inspired by ISRO’s SSLV, is a small satellite launch-capable rocket designed with three stages and engines. It has a total weight of 50.6 tons, stands at a height of 31.1 meters, and has a diameter of 2 meters. The rocket boasts a payload capacity of 1.5 tons to a sun-synchronous orbit of 1000 km and between 500 Kg to 2 tons to a low Earth orbit. With a delta-v of 7.38 km/s and a burn time of 4.6 minutes, it generates a thrust of 1702 kN.

The first stage of DHRUVA 1 features a delta-v of 2.08 km/s and a burn time of 52 seconds, powered by a single Phoenix booster engine using solid fuel. This stage has a propellant mass of 30.1 tons, a total mass of 31.6 tons, a height of 14.3 meters, and produces a thrust of 1331 kN.

The second stage also utilises a Phoenix booster engine with solid fuel, achieving a delta-v of 2.94 km/s and a burn time of 1.6 minutes. It has a propellant mass of 13.5 tons, a total mass of 14.72 tons, a height of 6.4 meters, and a thrust of 333 kN.

The third stage is equipped with a Gnome engine that uses Kerolex fuel. It provides a delta-v of 2.36 km/s and a burn time of 2.1 minutes. This stage has a propellant mass of 2.05 tons, and a total mass of 3.07 tons, and generates a thrust of 38.1 kN.
