Start your landing approach with the four retro rocket packs at around 30km above the surface until you slow to 100km or so. then stage to jettison and start main engine. its powerful, so low throttle settings will work sufficiently. you should land with plenty of fuel to spare for return to Luna orbut and make it back to Droo.
