It was a spacecraft designed to discover comets and the secrets of our Sun. SOHO was launched at night on an Atlas IIAS. The spacecraft was made with the collaboration of NASA and ESA. There weren't any anomalies at the launch but in 1998, SOHO had an anomaly because it spun out of control because it lost lock of the Sun while NASA was doing some manuevers. It was losing power and communications and entered emergency mode 3 times. A month later, It sent a message again. Before it locked on the Sun again, they thawed everything with heaters. And then it relocked position to the Sun. It's most recent discovery after this craft is posted was a Solar Flare near the end of last month headed directly to Earth. Also it has a vizzy code that can be activated at AG 8 (Launch Sequence). If you don't want the vizzy code, just don't press AG 8 (Launch Sequence).

@XLAerospace0378 I think I saw that post but I think it wasn't even an Atlas IIAS because it doesn't have boosters.

@XLAerospace0378 I guess you know it now that SOHO was launched on an Atlas IIAS?
