AT-2 Advanced trainer

Story of the plane
In the 1990s when the international tension on Droo was high, Emstenova started the development of a cost-effective, high-performance training and light attack aircraft – the original AT-1 – in response to the threat of a large war that the country can’t afford with its air fore fleet at the time. The goal was to have this aircraft ready in a short time and make it mass-produced so that a large number of pilots could be trained. The first prototypes were ready in 1999, but before seeing any chance of mass production, the war broke out suddenly. Many countries were severely affected, and Emstenova was no exception despite being a partially neutral country, mainly due to war crimes. As order begin to resume in the following decade across the world, Remains of the project was found in secret bunkers of the country and it was decided to resume the project as a start point for the recovery of the nation’s defense industries. Based on the remains of the original design, the aircraft was improved for the new era, equipped with an advanced fly-by-wire system, plus renewed engines, and named AT-2. It never saw any combats since its enlistment, but it is still in production and prepared for the new era of the nation’s defense.

Functions/features
Advanced Fly-By-Wire
Roll damping and auto-stabilizing
The computer controls the roll axis of the aircraft which enables a damping feature that stops the aircraft from rolling past the commanded angle due to inertia, and a stabilizing feature that stops the aircraft from excessively rolling due to asymmetrical loading (up to a certain level).

Consistent rate, Pitch damping, Angular rate limiter and Auto-Trim
The computer controls the horizontal stabilizer of the aircraft which enables Consistent rate feature that limits the angular rate of the aircraft stays the same under the same pitch input no matter the speed or weight, Pitch damping feature that reduce oscillation when the control is released right after a maneuver, Angular rate limiter that allows a custom maximum angular rate on pitch axis (AG 12), and Auto trim which stops unwanted pitch torque.

Unlocked pitch mode (AG 11)
This mode switches the horizontal stabilizers to direct input, allowing large AOA maneuvering. It should be used with caution due to the risk of losing control during certain maneuvers, especially at high speed.

5 hardpoints
Under the wing and body of the aircraft, 5 hardpoints are installed for weapons. Together they have a maximum load of 3 tons. The load can be released via AG 5-7 or assigning individual pylons to a stage. AG 9 and 10 are free in case AGs are needed for certain weapons

Warning: the fly-by-wire system works well with fps more than 45. if the game is lagging, the system will be very slow and unresponsive.

Fly safe!
