This simple rocket is designed to demonstrate / test orbital mechanics calculations performed in Vizzy code.
This is very, very complex -- compelx enough that there are two seperate Steam guides documenting how this craft works.
The first:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3039843312
Simply describes all the user defined instructions and functions defined in the Vizzy code. This, I suspect, will be sufficent for the vast majority of potential users.
The second guide:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2961230801
Covers all the equations that underlie the Vizzy code. This guide answers the questions of "Why does this work" and "How does this work." Fingers very much crossed, it should be understandable to people with a high school knowledge of math that covered trig functions. No calculas is requies, and suprisingly ilttle knowledge of vectors.
I request that feedback be placed on the appropiate steam guide (rather than left here), as I am far more likely to see it on the Steam guides, but... YMMV.
Warning: Out of the box, this code provides no UI to invoke the functions it offers. You will either need to add your own UI or hard-code the maneuvers you wish to perform. If you are looking for a "MechJeb" replacement, I would reccomend using "Profile image
Orbital Maneuver Suite Version 3.0" by @GoldenShadowGS (https://www.simplerockets.com/c/VAkf29/Orbital-Maneuver-Suite-Version-3-0). The Vizzy code implemnets most (but not all) of the orbital maneuvers that I implement, and does allow invoking them via action group.
