Stock SSTO spaceplane configured for use in 1:5 solar systems.

Developed from the HOTOL project, the Skylon is a conceptual design study of an SSTO spaceplane. Using an air-breathing combined cycle engine, the project aims to deliver an 11 ton payload to LEO.

This rendition weighs in at a massive almost 46,000 tons on the runway and features a national livery with the Union Jack imprinted on the tail. It is loaded with and capable of an about 500 ton payload.

Reduce derivative if vehicle oscillates when empty. Rocket-assisted takeoff is required. Vr is about 250 m/s when fully loaded.
