(i got name idea from someone on discord) the next launcher is here AG1 door AG2 lights AG3 Warp Drive AG6 auto launch (highly wip dont use yet) AG7 abort AG8 auto reentry (wip) AG9 + Slider 1 up solar panels
this is a new orbiter designed to keep 2 astronauts comfortable during deep space missions (THIS IS NOT A LANDER! dock to a station with a lander to land on planetery surfaces).
have fun!

@Chtite451SR2 I could make a unlisted demo and tag you, it's a Simple concept, yet hard to explain. I could try making it after I upload a ship i finished. I plan to do this very soon, hopefully today.

@Zyvx yeah but... what if i close the door while the droonaut is inside the module?

@Chtite451SR2 lol, basically you make the bottom part of your door another piece so you can turn off collision on just the part that collides, and the rest of the door is solid so the Droonaught won't walk through it if closed.

@Chtite451SR2 here maybe a Simple solution, as your door is on this creation, pretty cool by the way. The hanger bay, add another, adjust lengths and textures to look like one, and both open by same activation group. The bottom part will be just long enough so the top part won't collide. Turn off collision on bottom hanger, leave collision on for the top. The top is big enough to keep astronaut in when closed, and the bottom being collision free makes the door look complete. This would be the first experiment I would try if I was trying to do what your trying. Hope it will be useful.

@Zyvx swing open design, the exterior and interior is curved (like a capsule... bottom larger than top) and i did it with a cargo bay so theres that thing on the "bottom" and it HAS tho work as a heat shield... the door is also a heat shield so it closes when the hab module seperates and then it takes full heat in reentry... and then it lands on the ground

@Chtite451SR2 very true, it's also hard to design a door with a curved exterior and a flat interior. Are you looking for a sliding door design or swing open design, and a curved or flat exterior? I will try to help, but you could also try a post to see what people come up with, then you will have many ideas to choose from. If you describe the door shape and type, I could try making a concept piece, upload a unlisted, and if you like it it's yours, if not no problem. I won't even worry about credit.

@Zyvx i meant more like the design... i want the door parts to go down into the hab module but it glitches out because of collisions... and if i remove collisions from parts... why have a door?

@Chtite451SR2 if its of any help, feel free to look at the Vizzy work on my Max7.2, the program for group 3 on the right, starts with while activation 3 is true. I use this simple program to turn slider bar assigned parts to toggle. This is Max7.2 attack mode toggle. You can design any door shape to open with rotors, hinge, or even pistons. The simple toggle program will make it open and close at a single touch.

@OM3GA_AEROSPACE i dont have space for one... you have to use a station with a lander (i.e dock to a station and transfer astronauts to a lander docked to it)

@Zyvx yeah... nevermind actually i tried it looks ok its on the newest version of this (thats here)
