The Falcon Heavy is a partially reusable super heavy-lift launch vehicle developed by SpaceX. It is a version of the Falcon 9 with two extra first stages used as boosters. The two boosters and center core all use 9 Merlin 1D sea-level engines made each made by SpaceX. They also all have gridfins and landing legs for landing on either a landing pad or droneship in the ocean. The boosters have nosecones on top, but the center core has an interstage for connection to the second stage. The second stage of the Falcon Heavy uses one Merlin 1D Vacuum engine. On top of the second stage is the payload fairing which protects the payload during launch.
