I am happy to say that this craft was featured in a livestream of Deep Space Industries.
(And I'm sorry to Cameron for making him suffer with this craft)
I recommend using very-high performance pcs to launch the craft and to turn off Parallax before launch (you can turn the mod on just before landing)
Info about the craft:
Mars Pathfinder is a lander that landed on Mars using airbags for the first time. It launched on the Delta II on December 4, 1996 and landed at July 4, 1997, American Independence Day. I could say that it's a patriotic landing. It also had the 1st Mars Rover, Sojourner, on one of the petals of Mars Pathfinder. It investigated rocks on Mars and more on it. The lander also had some instruments and solar panels on it. It's also a part of the Discovery Program. And it's NASA's return to the surface of Mars after 20 years. After landing, the lander was called the Carl Sagan Memorial Station. It's also a proof of concept for things like airbags that was eventually going to be used on the Mars Exploration Rovers.
All Activation Groups and inputs:
Cruise Stage AGs:
• AG1:
Code to propel the spacecraft using the 3rd stage to Mars and then it will jettison the 3rd stage
• AG4:
Code to propel spacecraft using 2nd stage to 1200 km apoapsis
• AG5:
Code to launch to orbit
• AG6:
Code to separate the cruise stage at the right altitude
• AG7:
Input to use Translational Top RCS: Brake
Input to use Translational Bottom RCS: Throttle
Delta K AGs:
• AG8:
Code to spin the spin table
Lander AGs:
• AG1:
Slider 1: Front petal
Slider 2: Left Petal
Slider 3: Right Petal
• AG3:
Slider 1: Changes how inflated the airbags are
Slider 2: Changes how spread out the base airbags are (Change it to 40% for more realism after all petals are opened)
• AG4:
Slider 1: Rotate camera in Vertical Axis
Slider 2: Rotate camera in Lateral Axis
Slider 4: Zoom
• AG7:
Slider 1: Rotate antenna in Longitudinal axis
Slider 2: Rotate antenna in Lateral Axis
• AG9:
Slider 1: Deploy Ramps
Slider 2: Put safe platform below rover (Or at least that's what I think Slider 2 does with AG9 activated, since I forgot if I removed that platform or not)
• AG11:
Code to land the whole thing
Rover AGs:
• AG1:
Pitch: Forward and Backward (I think all of you know this)
Yaw: Turn front and back wheels (I also think all of you know that yaw is used for turning)
• AG3:
Slider 1: Rotate first joint
Slider 2: Rotate 2nd Joint
• AG5:
Slider 1: Turn wheels 45° (Put the brakes to a lower level before this, then after setting slider 1 to 100%, go back to full brakes immediately.)
Yaw: Use wheels
Here's a long guide for the whole craft (there's also a specific rover guide after this):
(Disregard if you just want to play with it, not simulate the actual mission)
Make a new sandbox and make sure you launch just after the midnight of Day 94 of your sandbox. Then, activate the launch sequence (AG5).
When the orbital insertion burn stops, press this specific point on the orbit and press warp here.
Then, Activate AG4. Wait for 2 in-game seconds after the display text appears after engine shutdown. Switch to the Delta II chip by pressing on one of the spin jets and pressing the command button and activate AG8. Then, after the delta k separates, Activate AG1. I hope you have a lot of patience because this is the laggiest part of the mission. You need to wait until the weights jettison for the lag to decrease. Then, maybe keep the heading lock for like 2 seconds after the weights jettison. Then, after the third stage separates, you can reduce spin to 12 deg/s or just timewarp. But, you have to do trajectory corrections too on the way. So just activate cruise stage rcs, make a burn node and once you timewarp to the burn node, RCS will do the job since some RCS are activated only by the throttle. Then, after you get an encounter periapsis of below 20 km, You can just timewarp to Cylero. Then, timewarp to 10000 km. Then, you can either activate the Aeroshell separation code or just separate the aeroshell manually. Switch to the aeroshell. Once you're in Cylero's Atmosphere, Activate AG11, aka the landing code. Just wait until the bridle separates. Then, lock the heading to down and just before reaching the surface, unlock heading down. Now, just watch it bounce. When it stops bouncing, lower the value of slider 1 and 2 slowly. After it's fully deflated, Activate AG2. Then, find out if it has landed on one of the side petals. If yes, turn on AG1 and try increasing the value of a slider one by one until you see the lander rise or get rotated. Once you find the right slider to use, rise it slowly until it slowly rotates to base petal down. Then, put all 3 sliders to 100%. Otherwise, just activate AG1 and put all 3 sliders to 100%. Then activate the high-gain antenna controls and set slider 2 to 50 after changing the value of slider 1 to something above 20%. Activate Camera Controls and Set slider 2 to 50%. Activate the ramps and set slider 1 and 2 to 100%. (I apologize about it deploying differently than in real life.) Then, activate AG6. Then, you can release the rover using AG8, make it roll down the ramp then activate AG5 or just activate AG5 after activating AG6.
Rover Guide (Very important info to read if you want to use the rover):
Activate AG8 on the lander. Switch to the rover. Then, set the brake to at most, 89%. Then activate AG2 to make the rover stand up. After making it stand up, Activate AG4. Then, activate AG1. Then, roll it down the ramp. If you want to have rocks around its surroundings for realism, Install and activate the mod Parallax before launching the craft. If you need to turn, stationary, Activate AG5 on the rover, lower the brake to at most, 89% and then put slider 1 to 100. Then, Put brake to 100%. When it's time to turn. turn off the brakes fully and turn using yaw controls. Once done turning, Set brake to 100% and slider 1 back to 0%.
Creator Notes about the craft:
Mars Pathfinder is something that I wanted to do for at least a year. My interest for building it last year descended because of how many parts it has when it has the airbags. But now, I did it, and I launched it, even with the lag. It was worth the blood, some sweat and some tears to build this masterpiece (Did I just use hyperbole?) because of how better and more detailed I am in building crafts now than last year and because I actually launched it with no flaws because of weeks of testing. Even if this craft, past and future crafts from TheSimplest's Delta II that I modified are in a 2:1 ratio, I'm still happy that I got to build a very detailed masterpiece.
Also, here's what the Cruise Stage looked like last year:
And the cruise stage this year:
Craft Notes:
• The airbags actually do not bounce as much as in real life, but they still work.
• The ramps are deployed differently on purpose so that there are less parts on the craft and so that there aren't any errors in deploying the ramps.
• I actually powered the 3rd stage with solid fuel.
• It's recommended to use a very high-performance computer to launch this craft so that there's no/minimal lag.

(I wanted to promote the video in this post even if it's already posted in the website)
(I swear, if I am called a ripoff of Infinity Technology just for this craft, I'm going to scream the loudest I've ever had)
(This craft was made by a Filipino)
(Delta II was made by TheSimplest, but, I did modify it)

Damn , I am slipping, you had the de-spin balls figured out for some time now, cheers to that cool feat, a lot of ppl will learn it for the first time by playing your creation. That surely feels cool. I hide from fame, personally 😇
