When I tried this, the engine burned until the fuel was gone, so maybe add a "wait until 'velocity=250'" then add "set 'throttle' to '0'" or add a activation group and add "set activation group 'ag for engines' to 'false"'. I recommend the second option, but you can always try the first one.
