The Long March 2C (code name: CZ-2C) is a type I two-stage conventional liquid carrier rocket developed by the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. This rocket is mainly used for launching low orbit and sun synchronous orbit satellites. The Long March-2C rocket is an improved design based on the Long March-2 and uses nitrogen tetroxide/unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine as the propellant. The Long March 2C was launched in 1976 and successfully launched for the first time on September 9, 1982
