From Wikipedia:
Delta II was an expendable launch system, originally designed and built by McDonnell Douglas. Delta II was part of the Delta rocket family and entered service in 1989. Delta II vehicles included the Delta 6000, and the two later Delta 7000 variants. The rocket flew its final mission ICESat-2 on 15 September 2018, earning the launch vehicle a streak of 100 successful missions in a row, with the last failure being GPS IIR-1 in 1997.
Shown here is the Delta 7320-9.5 (3 GEM solid rocket boosters with no third stage and a fairing with a diameter of 9.5 metres. I have tried to make sure that it looked realistic (especially the 2nd stage) in appearance.
What will version 2.0 feature:
(a) Detailed exterior; especially for the 1st stage.
(b) Realistic fuel tanks.
(c) Improved GEM design.
(d) New launch pad; inclusive of launch tower.
(e) Automated launch program.
Final Notes:
This is my first time replicating a real-life rocket. I am 100% sure that there are some flaws in the build (eg: 'Double Engines' on the 1st Stage). Hence, do not expect it to perform perfectly. The craft was only tested in the stock system and i do not think it is suitable for RSS (test it if you want!). Hopefully you enjoyed this build and would consider supporting me on my future builds!
