M-3 Banshee

The M-3 Banshee is a VTOL capable supersonic military transport aircraft capable of achieving speeds greater than Mach 3. It was designed to better access the angled and short runway of the mountain base, able to rapidly descend and decelerate. The M-3 can sit a total of 10 occupants including the pilots, and is accessible from the rear.

The Banshee is difficult to handle on take off but generally quite easy to land. The Banshee has two sets of engines, forward and VTOL thrusters. VTOL engines are controlled with throttle and the forward thrusters are controlled with slider 2. Slider 1 rotates the VTOL thrusters. When taking off, lock heading on current and set throttle to 45%. The Banshee will lift off and pitch slightly forward. It is necessary to achieve a forward velocity of no less than 115 mps before attempting to fully transition into full forward flight with the VTOL rotators. It is best to gradually introduce thrust with slider 2 and the forward thrusters, staring with 10% and increasing from there. The VTOL thrusters can be used to stabilize the craft if it dips too far forward and backwards.

Landing simply require the VTOL thrusters to be returned to their vertical positions, reducing forward thrust and keeping the throttle below 45%.
