The Atlantica Deep Space Insertion Vehicle (DSIV) is a crewed interplanetary spacecraft designed and built with a collaboration between Nova Aerospace, NASA (United States), ESA (Europe), Roscosmos (Russia), JAXA (Japan) and ISRO (India) to replace the Avalonia DSIV.
?When crewed missions extended beyond Mars in 2027, the Avalonia was already considered too slow. As a result, the Atlantica DSIV entered its design phase the same year with returning participants from the Avalonia. The Atlantica's final design was finished in 2029.
?During the design phase, development and testing of a Magnetic Confinement Fusion engine was started as it was found to be much quicker and more efficient than Ion thrusters. It also generated more power than the Avalonia's solar arrays.
?Manufacturing of Atlantica ships was started on ASGARD space docks, recycling parts from decommissioned Avalonia DSIVs. Even the Avalonia's stasis chambers were reused for the Atlantica.?Atlantica's Mirror Cell Magnetic Confinement engine allows for more transfer window opportunities due to its high specific impulse and delta-v. Sometimes, transfer windows are not needed at all.

@NovaAerospace Ah yeah actually makes sense. Was probably due to the beta. I've just been noticing lots of posts from a few days ago and was curious. Nice design though. Big fan of the engine section 👌🏾
